Waiting

Yesterday was Father's Day and we went camping for just one night in Arizona. I was glad to get out of town and pass the time a little faster while we wait for your arrival. It should be any day now. The most recent ultrasound says you are 7 lbs 4 oz. It seems like you are running out of room in my belly since your feet are always sticking out under my ribs.
I am starting to get a little nervous. I want to give you a life with lots of fun and opportunity. You are lucky to have the most amazing dad. He will be your best friend like he is mine! So, what am I nervous about? I guess I just hope that you and I both do well during the labor and delivery process. So far we have been a good team and I think if we really put our minds to it, we can give eachother what we need and have a smooth transition to mother/daughterhood. Once that part is over with I think we will really enjoy being a family.
I already love you so much just from having you near me everyday. It has been a fun little gift to carry you around inside of my belly for nine months. Oh but you are too big now and it is time to come out! I will work hard on my end and I wish you the best of luck on your end. I can't wait to see you in a few days!!
GO TEAM!

Cradle Adventure

Today your Papa was putting the finishing touch on your cradle. I went out to take pictures of the progress and just five minutes after I took the pictures he came in with a chunk of his thumb missing. He had a little accidnet with the table saw. He is so lucky it was just the top of his thumb and not the whole thumb. I think he learned a good lesson. The last picture is after we bandaged him up and put a lady bug sticker on it for good luck.

Dad and Mom's 2 year anniversary

Yesterday we celebrated our two year anniversary. We went camping in the White Mountains of Arizona.
I can't believe I have already been married to your dad for two years. We got married when I was 33 years old andyour dad was 32. Our wedding was in Estes Park Colorado at the YMCA of the Rockies. It was a great day with lots of yummy Alaska King Salmon and bluegrass music. I will show you the pictures someday.
Your dad is the best husband I could have ever dreamed of and he will be the best father to you. We are a couple of very lucky girls!

Unexpected
Before I was prenant with you I had a pretty good idea about what it would be like to be prego. However, there are so many things that I did not anitcipate.1. People smile at me all the time. They seem to be so excited that I have a baby inside of my belly.
2. Perfect strangers love to touch my belly. Yesterday an old hispanic woman kissed my belly while I was caring for her daughter at the Flagstaff hospital.
3. A man offered to pump my gas on a windy day.
4. Your dad coos over the little socks that we will be putting on your little feet in just a couple of months.
These are just some of the magical little things that have happened to me while I have been pregnant with you. I can't wait to see whatunexpected things having a baby brings.

Turn around!

You are sitting so high up in my belly that you are pushing on my lungs. I wake up at night short of breath. This is a picture of me trying to get you to turn around. The books say that if I lay on a board at 30 degrees for 10 mintues three times a day you will turn. Your dad thinks this is pretty funny and likes to take pictures while I am trying to get you to turn around.
