Six days old

Yesterday 7/13/2007 was your first Dr.'s appointment. Your weight dropped 8% to 6 lbs 11.5 oz. They said this is normal and they allow for 10% weight drop before they worry. You are enjoying mama's milk more and more and will probably start to gain weight soon.

Today you are six days old and we went to the park to look at the trees. You slept the entire time but I am sure you enjoyed being outside in the cool mountain air of Flagstaff, AZ. After going to the park we came home and we all napped for over two hours.

I am really enjoying getting to know you. You are great at communicating to Mom and Dad and then when we give you what you want you are great at smiling and being happy. I never knew I could love something as much as I love you so far. I bet this love just keeps on growing everyday!

Welcome to the World Miss Blue

On your 3rd official day of life I would like to welcome you to the world. When we started this whole adventure it was hard to imagine what this moment would be like, but thanks to your mama's strength and perseverence it was more than I could have hoped for. You have widened my heart and made me feel like I was part of something greater than myself. I promise to always try my hardest and I hope I end up being a good dad. BTW I'm probably going to be the "softy", so make sure to ask me first! I love you Clarity Blue.

Your Daddy.

You are now oficially one week overdue. I am getting so excited to meet you in person but I am trying not to feel too anxious. Your dad and I just got back these photos that we had done while I was pregnant with you. It was a good reminder of just how magical this time has been. Just push play to enjoy the photos of your pregnant Mom.

Waiting

Yesterday was Father's Day and we went camping for just one night in Arizona. I was glad to get out of town and pass the time a little faster while we wait for your arrival. It should be any day now. The most recent ultrasound says you are 7 lbs 4 oz. It seems like you are running out of room in my belly since your feet are always sticking out under my ribs.

I am starting to get a little nervous. I want to give you a life with lots of fun and opportunity. You are lucky to have the most amazing dad. He will be your best friend like he is mine! So, what am I nervous about? I guess I just hope that you and I both do well during the labor and delivery process. So far we have been a good team and I think if we really put our minds to it, we can give eachother what we need and have a smooth transition to mother/daughterhood. Once that part is over with I think we will really enjoy being a family.
I already love you so much just from having you near me everyday. It has been a fun little gift to carry you around inside of my belly for nine months. Oh but you are too big now and it is time to come out! I will work hard on my end and I wish you the best of luck on your end. I can't wait to see you in a few days!!

GO TEAM!

Cradle Adventure

Today your Papa was putting the finishing touch on your cradle. I went out to take pictures of the progress and just five minutes after I took the pictures he came in with a chunk of his thumb missing. He had a little accidnet with the table saw. He is so lucky it was just the top of his thumb and not the whole thumb. I think he learned a good lesson. The last picture is after we bandaged him up and put a lady bug sticker on it for good luck.

Colorado trip

We just got back from visiting Grammy and Gramps Sebern in Colorado. They had a big BBQ for us to celebrate your arrival.

Dad and Mom's 2 year anniversary

Yesterday we celebrated our two year anniversary. We went camping in the White Mountains of Arizona.

I can't believe I have already been married to your dad for two years. We got married when I was 33 years old andyour dad was 32. Our wedding was in Estes Park Colorado at the YMCA of the Rockies. It was a great day with lots of yummy Alaska King Salmon and bluegrass music. I will show you the pictures someday.

Your dad is the best husband I could have ever dreamed of and he will be the best father to you. We are a couple of very lucky girls!
