2 months old

Clarity Blue you are almost 2 months old. I am so glad you are here! So much has happened in the past two months. When you were just a few weeks old we had lots of visitors. Everyone loves you so much already.

You also went on your first camping trip in Arizona. We have a nice pop up camper and you seem to really love camping so far.

I love you more and more everyday. Right now I am working just 2-3 days per week and during those days you get to stay home with your daddy. He loves spending time with you as much as I do.
You are smiling and laughing a lot now which makes me and your daddy smile and laugh too! You smile way more than you cry. I hope you continue to be happy for the rest of your life!
I love you, I love you, I love you!

Five Weeks

Hi Clarity,

You are now just over five weeks old. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. You have created more joy in our lives than I thought was even possible. Everyday I am so excited to wake up and see you sleeping next to me. Actually it is you that is usually awake and looking at me. I wonder if you have the same feelings. You seem to be as amazed with me and your dad as we are with you.

You have really figured out how to smile. I LOVE it.

So many people love you already!

Your Grandma and Papa Partridge came for a visit for the past four days. They loved just holding you and hanging out with you. I am still recovering from the Cesarean so we layed pretty low just watching you make funny faces.

Today your Nana and Papa Long get here from Palm Springs. It is raining and there is lots of lightning and thunder here in Flagstaff, AZ. The rain feels great!

Six days old

Yesterday 7/13/2007 was your first Dr.'s appointment. Your weight dropped 8% to 6 lbs 11.5 oz. They said this is normal and they allow for 10% weight drop before they worry. You are enjoying mama's milk more and more and will probably start to gain weight soon.

Today you are six days old and we went to the park to look at the trees. You slept the entire time but I am sure you enjoyed being outside in the cool mountain air of Flagstaff, AZ. After going to the park we came home and we all napped for over two hours.

I am really enjoying getting to know you. You are great at communicating to Mom and Dad and then when we give you what you want you are great at smiling and being happy. I never knew I could love something as much as I love you so far. I bet this love just keeps on growing everyday!

Welcome to the World Miss Blue

On your 3rd official day of life I would like to welcome you to the world. When we started this whole adventure it was hard to imagine what this moment would be like, but thanks to your mama's strength and perseverence it was more than I could have hoped for. You have widened my heart and made me feel like I was part of something greater than myself. I promise to always try my hardest and I hope I end up being a good dad. BTW I'm probably going to be the "softy", so make sure to ask me first! I love you Clarity Blue.

Your Daddy.

7/7/07

You are now oficially one week overdue. I am getting so excited to meet you in person but I am trying not to feel too anxious. Your dad and I just got back these photos that we had done while I was pregnant with you. It was a good reminder of just how magical this time has been. Just push play to enjoy the photos of your pregnant Mom.

Waiting

Yesterday was Father's Day and we went camping for just one night in Arizona. I was glad to get out of town and pass the time a little faster while we wait for your arrival. It should be any day now. The most recent ultrasound says you are 7 lbs 4 oz. It seems like you are running out of room in my belly since your feet are always sticking out under my ribs.

I am starting to get a little nervous. I want to give you a life with lots of fun and opportunity. You are lucky to have the most amazing dad. He will be your best friend like he is mine! So, what am I nervous about? I guess I just hope that you and I both do well during the labor and delivery process. So far we have been a good team and I think if we really put our minds to it, we can give eachother what we need and have a smooth transition to mother/daughterhood. Once that part is over with I think we will really enjoy being a family.
I already love you so much just from having you near me everyday. It has been a fun little gift to carry you around inside of my belly for nine months. Oh but you are too big now and it is time to come out! I will work hard on my end and I wish you the best of luck on your end. I can't wait to see you in a few days!!

GO TEAM!
